Welcome! And thanks for dropping in. Please feel free to stay as long as you like, and come back often!
My mission is to help as many people as possible in my lifetime to be healthy with quality chiropractic care.
Hold on now; let’s take a step back to see how a farm kid from Wisconsin developed this kind of a mission in life! Here is my story:
When I was a sophomore in high school I got a stinger in my neck one day in football practice. I still remember it clearly… the guy who hit me was nicknamed Bubba! It hurt a lot, but soon went away. By the next year I started to have problems with my right shoulder dislocating. By the time I came home from college for the summer of my sophomore year I couldn’t even raise my arm high enough to give my mother a hug! She suggested that I see her Chiropractor (strange, I thought my Mother didn’t like Chiropractors?)! Well, I went, and my arm got better! And, my bench press that hadn’t gone up in 3 ½ years went up 35 pounds that summer! I was more excited than ever to play football again.
At this time in my life I was desperately trying to figure out what in the world I was going to do with my chemistry major that was actually going to help people. Well, after my Chiropractic experience, I knew exactly what I was supposed to do. After receiving my Bachelors Degree in chemistry I enrolled at Palmer College of Chiropractic so I could help a sick and suffering humanity that wasn’t getting much help from the “real” Doctors. Four years later I graduated with honors from Palmer and began practicing Chiropractic.
Eventually I met my wife, Colleen, and now we’ve been married for 23 years. We have two very wonderful and healthy children. Donald is 22 years old and a senior at the University of Montana-Western in Dillon, and my daughter, Chloe is a 20 year old sophomore at Montana State University- Billings.
This is where the story gets interesting! When Chloe was born things were not right. She was limp, lifeless, blue and not breathing well. She had to be put under an oxygen tent immediately. After about two hours I thought that I had better go check on her and see how she was doing. The nurse said that she was still struggling, and for the first time I got scared. I knelt down by her table and took her little hand in mine and told her how much I loved her and that she could do it. She had to! That’s when I noticed that her head was twisted and cocked to the right. I repositioned it only to have it immediately go back to the same position, like it was on springs. As a chiropractor, I knew immediately this was not right or okay!
I decided right then that I would give her a very gentle and loving adjustment. Immediately after that adjustment I watched as her oxygen level climbed steadily, and within ten minutes she was cuddling with her mother for the first time!
What about all of the babies and their parents out there who have similar birth experiences who don’t know what chiropractic is and what it offers their family? These parents will wonder why their child is constantly sick, or “fails to thrive”, or doesn’t develop like their supposed to, or isn’t quite as sharp as their brother or sister.
Most of the problems we see in adults started in childhood, and a lot of those problems begin with the birth process.
I enjoy spending time with my family, especially in the great outdoors. I also enjoy studying and learning about human beings, the body, the mind, and the connection between them, as well as improving my own body and mind.
I strive to learn and be the best. I am Advanced Proficiency Certified from the Holder Research Institute (since March 2007) and a member of both the International Chiropractic Association and Montana Chiropractic Association. I want all my patients to rave about the quality of care I provide for them… and it’s not about back pain and headaches. It’s about wellness, being the best you can be! Chiropractic is a purpose that comes from the heart, but it takes two hearts, yours and mine. We work together as a team. Let’s begin by getting you better health for a life that is more enjoyable and satisfying. And, while we’re at it, let’s have some good fun in the office! Visiting a doctor doesn’t need to be a stuffy experience!
Thank you for learning about me … Now I look forward to learning about you!
